Val's Fitness Club Kayaking Adventure!

Here is a great opportunity for you, your family, and/or friends to join us for our kayaking adventure on June 23, 2018, from 2pm to 6pm: " First-time kayakers and experienced paddlers alike will enjoy a unique perspective of Portland on this guided tour ( by the Portland Kayak Company ) circumnavigating Ross Island on the Willamette River. We'll paddle past an impressive blue heron rookery and possibly see bald eagles and osprey as we glide by Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. There is an unparalleled view of Portland's skyline on our way back to the dock."
 It is imperative to RSVP by noon this Wednesday June 13th,  so that we can secure enough kayaks for our group. Please let me know if any of you would like to 'couple-tandem' ( a two person kayak :)
We launch near Willamette Park ( from Portland Kayak Company) , and will kayak on the Willamette, which is very tranquil. We will be on the water for approximately 3 hours, especially if we choose to rest on one of the tiny center islands to have a snack before heading back.
The cost of the tour is $49 per person ( this includes life jackets, kayak skirts, and paddles)
I will send detailed information at the end of the week after receiving your RSVPs.

VFC Shamrock Run 2018 Registration!



VFC Barbados Excursion 2017!
Dear Fitness Friends and Clients,
I am happy to announce our first travel excursion for 2017: BARBADOS; and this is not to accompany me to one of my bodybuilding shows :)
For those of you who have been long awaiting this trip, you may set your travel dates anytime between May 19th and May 29th. Please communicate with me before the end of February to let me know the days that you intend to stay in Barbados. I will need a head count (along with the number of days you intend to stay) so that I can start working on acquiring economical accommodations for everyone.
As I will (obviously :) ) be your tour guide, it will be packed with fun activities and each of you may choose which ones ( if any )  you'd like to be a part of.  You may click on the following link to get any kind of information on Barbados:

Shamrock Run 2017 Registration

My Dear Fitness Buddies,

You may now register with our team for the 2017 Shamrock Run! For those who would like to be a part of Val's Fitness Team, please register using Val's Fitness Team registration # 8945 in order to receive an additional $4 off your registration fee. Adult registration fees increase after January 15, 2017. Under our team, your registration packages will be shipped to Val's Fitness.

This will be the first time for some of you but don't worry: I will assist in prepping you for the Shamrock run. 

In addition to receiving a discount on registration when signing up as part of Val's Fitness team, each person (who has not yet received one) will receive a special Val's Fitness T-shirt.

Please do not wait until the team registration deadline (January 31st) to sign up,  as the Shamrock Run closes its registration as soon as it has reached its maximum participants.
